I don't know if you can help me. I grew up in LaPorte and lived there from 1949 to 1974. I recall a big fire in the city in the mid 50's that I think involved the Bortz feed store. Can you help me?

During my Stay in La Porte,I had the chance to visit the fire station 2.It was a great experience.The friendly captian showed us the new station and gave some information about L.P.F.D.Thank you!

Just wanted to say "thank you" to the 3 who helped rescue the 7 ducklings from a drain in the Wal-mart parking lot. I am not sure of all 3 of their names but one of them was Bill Lott...I believe one of their names was Chase, but unfortunately do not know the third. A life is a life...and all are worth saving and you three proved that! We as a community appreciate all you guys do no matter how small the rescue! God Bless you everyone.
